RiverBend Seniors Community features one- and two-bedroom suites, where residents can take advantage of flexible options such as meals, cleaning and laundry as well as scheduled social activities.

What does that actually mean for the seniors who call RiverBend home?

This new community, rents private condos to people 55+ who are looking for quality housing in an attractive, safe, and secure building with optional amenities that residents may take advantage of as often or as little as they like.

And there’s no shortage of opportunities to get involved in activities that are planned for residents each week.

There’s always a calendar posted at the front desk that showcases what is happening Monday to Sunday, and the staff at RiverBend work to organize a variety of activities that span people’s’ interests.

A typical week might include chair exercises in the activity room to get the morning going, afternoon yoga or tai chi, crafts, a grocery shopping exercussion to Save On Foods, a movie night or a puppy party at the onsite dog park. Amenities such as a fitness centre, library, media room and workshop are open for all residents to use at their leisure throughout the day.

There’s also ongoing opportunities to get social through morning and afternoon coffee or tea in the dining room, weekly evening card games and weekend church service.

Additionally, RiverBend hosts a speaker series, monthly, available for residents as well as members of the public. Our next speaker series will be hosted October 16. More details to come! Stay up to date on activities and information about RiverBend on our Facebook page @riverbendseniorscommunitybc
