The common spaces at RiverBend and Mayfair extend independence and provide the opportunity to socialize with other residents in a truly community-minded setting.
Our large lobby and lounge, bordered by an entire wall of windows and anchored by a double sided fireplace, is a popular spot to visit with a friend, wait for your ride or tap along to whatever piece is being played on the grand piano. It’s where so much that happens at RiverBend seems to come and go – and where some residents truly ‘find their spot’.
RiverBend’s main dining room seats 96 people and provide a variety of served, continental, and a la carte meals.
The private dining room seats up to 8 people providing RiverBend residents the opportunity to invite family and friends to a private function.
With so many interesting things to do, the Activity Room is the perfect place to do it. Equipped with a food and craft preparation area and multiple large multi-purpose tables (easily moved for a line dancing class), this large room can easily accommodate whatever residents take an interest in.
Our RiverBend Prince George community and our Mayfair Kamloops community enjoy this space to pursue their favorite hobbies – especially those that involve working with their hands. Our workshop is the perfect spot, and has a great supply of popular tools, to get handy on an old project or to start a new one.
Riverbend’s fitness centre is designed to support health and well-being. Equipped with the most recommended (and popular) exercise equipment for seniors, including a commercial grade tread mill, recumbent bike, elliptical machine, free weights, elastics and floor mats, this gym is easily accessible for your personal routine or a group session.
The theatre room is a gathering space for movie buffs and people who like larger than life screening of their favorite programs. Interactive Sony Wii games, such as bowling and tennis, means the media room is also the place to get things moving.
A perfect place to join a card game, read a book, search the web, or ‘like’ that picture of your grandchild on Facebook, the library and games room is a popular spot to either relax and renew or stay connected.
RiverBend’s in-house salon makes personal pampering more convenient. Hair care, nail care and other aesthetic services are provided – and part of the luxury is never having to leave home.
